Ashley Chawla is a nurse practitioner (NP) specializing in Gastroenterology. Originally from the Midwest, she graduated from Ball State University and earned her Master's degree from the University of Southern Alabama.
Ashley brings a wealth of clinical experience and procedural expertise to AZ Gastro Care, having previously served as an NP in the Ochsner Medical Center ICU. In this role she was responsible for the stabilization and management of complex cases from the largest health system in the Gulf Coast. Prior to this, Ashley was part of the Ochsner Flight Care team and Rapid Response team based on a decade of experience in high-acuity trauma and critical care settings.
Ashley's patient care philosophy centers on compassion with open communication. Through shared decision-making, she enjoys creating individualized treatment plans which incorporate each patient's unique goals and expectations.
In her free time Ashley enjoys pilates, cooking, and traveling with her husband.
